  • I have a pine phone - they’re super neat because linux on a phone! but… not really usable yet. Not getting texts, random bugs (they fixed the one where you could only receive calls, not make them, but that took a year or more), incredibly laggy UI even just trying to navigate, the battery life is abysmal, the battery management hardware is lacking and the software is even worse, the UIs that exist are poorly supported, basic apps are decently represented but anything not built for mobile is going to be godawful to get working (esp. through something like waydroid), the UI stabbed my puppy, the devices are so underpowered you’re gonna be unable to do things like have two apps open at once or have a video playing in one tab while trying to navigate in another…

The pro phone has supposedly improved the hardware issues, but it’s new and niche enough that I haven’t seen much of a consens emerge (or hardly any in depth testing at all, really). Fairphone is much more usuable, still not without it’s glitches but much better than the pinephones.

Are blind rolls implemented across the board like that very often? There’s plenty of rolls that don’t affect the game if the players know about them, or would hinder the game like you’re saying. Probably for the sake of brevity the OG OP just didn’t clarify all the exceptions to the rule. IDK tho maybe there really are pure-secret-roll DMs

I never noticed before, but he uses the raindrops themselves to define and fill in the background shapes - there’s no other fill except for Calvin’s pants. Waterson was just such a brilliant artist, what an inspired way of capturing the diffused appearance that early morning hard rain can produce.

  • Its subtle. While they’re close to real, I don’t think they’re truly making things up, the colors are definitely enhanced. You’re absolutely right that they choose vibrant foods, but here I’ve corrected by colormatching to the foods in my own fridge (under a full-spectrum light) to illustrate what’s going on.

They’re using very cool lighting which is why the carrot looks a little undersaturared (I also suspect they were using an older carrot here, having spent way too long zoomed in on this image) but I matched on the cabbage and lima beans.

It’s not bad per-se, but it’s an incredibly common thing to see with food photography and especially with raw food like this. With op, who is an egregiously terrible person posting nothing but this kind of enhanced photo, I felt it was worth calling out.
