So just leave or go to therapy? Since the comic is very ambiguous, it could signify three things:
In any case, seek help if your relationship matters, or leave it because it’s toxic, wether intentionally or not.
We should strive to be well-adapted adults, this kind of behavior is immature and unhealthy, even if the toxicity comes from trauma and not malice.
That was a clear case for a switch statement, what an amateur.

Holy cow that’s a very real danger I hadn’t thought of! The industry needs a new trend to reuse all this capacity they built, because AI will likely scale back as many startups fail to reach profit.
Renting your home computer might be the next trend, and it could be gratis at first so people get used to it. Why spy on users when you can actually own their computers?

I seriously doubt your quality is maintained when an LLM writes most of your code, unless a human audits every line and understands what and why it is doing it.
If you break the tasks small enough that you can do this each step, it is no longer writing a full application, it’s writing small snippets, and you’re code-pairing with it.

Software engineering is a mindset, a way of doing something while thinking forward (and I don’t mean just scalability), at least if you want it done with quality. Today you can’t vibe code but proofs of concept, prototypes that are in no way ready for production.
I don’t see current LLMs overcoming this soon. It appears that they’ve reached their limits without achieving general AI, which is what truly would obsolete programmers, and humans in general.
Not possible, neighbor implemented Negative Trust.

So the companies should not be trying to hide their use of AI, right? It’s a disclosure, not a penalty.

I’d guess the one which seems that it will last more, since you can subscribe to communities of any other instance. You’ll only see a difference if you browse only local posts.
In my case I chose infosec.pub because I want to browse it locally if I want, but my subscribed communities include memes and webcomics for some light time wasters.

Was going to quote just that, from the same article:
‘Ozempic face’ isn’t a side effect of the medication itself. Rather, it’s a side effect of the rapid weight loss the medication can bring.
Oh wait, I did anyway.

Socialism is great as a concept, basically means putting people before capital. Capitalism is the reverse. Even the staunchest capitalist countries practice socialism to some degree. Raw capitalism would be hell.
It’s the same with communism, where the workers were supposed to own the means of production, which means money wouldn’t gravitate around a few ones. Even the staunchest communist countries didn’t practice real communism, deforming it into feudalism.
TL;DR: Socialism is a great concept, just consider that everything we hear about it comes from a culture ruled by capitalists.
Tell me you’re from USA without telling me you’re from USA.
I kid, people have died from road rage in every country, just their car is dangerous enough.

Why is Ramón blue?! Give him CPR instead of chatting here!!

Real programmers will write in a way that user’s resources are not being wasted because you need a full browser, a JS runtime, and DOM juggling, to show even the simplest application.
It’s not rare for simple JS applications to consume over half a gigabyte of RAM on startup, and way more CPU than their native counterparts. That this was normalized and even defended is stupid.

Blaming old people is a defining trait of the young. When young, I remember blaming my parents for bringing me into this world that didn’t give me the things I wanted easily.
Maturing as an adult means taking responsibility for yourself, and doing the things you can do to improve your situation.
Of course one can keep blaming old people for everything until you’re old enough to be blamed, if that’s your jam.

Let’s say it’s a double-edged sword. It brings freedom, but encourages insulation and intolerance.

This is a disadvantage of the Fediverse: the owner of the instance dictates the rules, and the moderators are as prone to power trips as they are on Reddit.
Be glad you were banned from blahaj, it’s in the top instances of intolerance to group think defiance. If you manage to get unbanned, you’ll be always at risk of another impulsive ban.
Real life is hard enough to add gratuitous drama to it.
IIRC he was a talk show host, and I’ve always thought he was so flamboyant as a parody of how talk show hosts prioritize the show rather than the talk.
I think he is a brilliantly designed parody character, but some people have taken him too seriously.

AI is, unfortunately, becoming better each month, and most people using it have an interest on passing it as human.
Tagging is good, but humans can’t be passive. Googling “bee orchid”, or using Plant.net, could be enough to find the species, or a close relative.
But this is just my opinion, I don’t make the rules here, but I think it’s worth to make a small effort to fight disinformation in any form.
