I don’t see this as genre specific, it is happening across the board. Either it is a huge blockbuster hit, or it is not, most are not. Economy + Stay-at-home-streamers will continue to hurt the movie business. Maybe if they lowered prices, hired better writers, stop with the sequels and reboots?

Yeah. The cost of movie tickets is outrageous nowadays, and the snacks are just as bad. 50-60 bucks for a movie, popcorn, and a drink for two.

A minimum wage person has to work for 6 or 7 hours to take their friend out to a movie at that rate–ridiculous lol

What the fuck, where does a movie cost that much? I’m already astounded to have to pay 12 bucks for a movie and then another 8 or so for popcorn and drinks. Can definitely go for cheaper in smaller theaters though.
