Jesus, did a chatbot write that article? The grammar was awful, damn near impossible to follow.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if most articles are at least partially written by AI.
I hope all the raving from DC Heads about the Flash was due to this being the reboot they needed so audiences weren’t confused with a new Superman etc.
To be honest it wasn’t a bad movie personally. There are definitely worse movies out there. I think this most likely failed as even both hardcore and casual fans know they’re rebooting the universe and Ezra’s issues were far more public than DC realized. I don’t think DC had much of a choice as all the shooting was already completed before all the crazy shit he did came out.

Well… now that sick puppy’s career is finally well and truly over. Just like it should have been two years ago.
At this point, a thorough psychological evaluation as part of the casting process might be starting to look like a good idea to producers of the big budget tentpole films and franchises.
What’s surprising is that they usually do have to do something similar. More at risk actors will have studios paying more for insurance. Ex. Why RDJ with Iron Man was a big risk.
You can’t tell me that Black Adam was better than The Flash.
Black Adam was just a montage of The Rock flexing and looking stern. The plot was non-existent. The whole movie, I just wanted to turn it off and do something better with my time, but I was curious to see if there were going to be any redeemable scenes. I regret waiting till the end to find out there were not.
The Flash was a genuinely enjoyable popcorn flick, if you were willing to overlook the unfinished CGI.
They give the guy who can’t help but physically assault people his own movie and copy the theme marvel has been using and wonder why it flops…
Marvel has a guy like that too, and he was going to be in all of their movies until it came out.
Have they actually dropped him yet? I just heard he had charges and then all news just kind of disappeared.
To be fair to DC , they were already wrapped filming when the crazy shit came out (iirc). At this point they should’ve just pulled a Batgirl with the movie.
When it came out, not when it happened. They most likely knew well ahead of the public, and still went ahead.
Didn’t they literally say that “people will just forget what he did lol”?
YUP LOL:
https://variety.com/2023/film/news/the-flash-crew-people-forget-ezra-miller-alleged-abuse-1235602481/I know there are more reasons than Ezra that this flopped but personally I’m not burned out on superhero stuff. A lot of people are saying “people are burned out on superheroes” but if that’s true why is Spider-Man still #1?
People mostly just like to bitch. It’s not even like superhero movies are the only thing being made. But they are pretty ubiquitous. I guess people just see so many cross-promoted super-hero movie trailer every time they go see a movie that they get fatigue from the idea of them. Not necessarily the movies themselves.
I was listening to a recent Game Grumps episode where Arin basically went on a tirade about how superhero movies are so bland, and how they don’t build the characters and the world… but then turns around and praises some of the more recent movies (Black Panther and GotG I think). It seems people are tired of the hype surround them. Which, honestly, I completely understand.
Ironically, the Batgirl movie would have likely made a profit, since it only cost 90 million and had Brandan Fraser right after he got his Oscar. But I guess the tax write-off was more important.
