Can we just say fuck Sony?

First one was an experience at the time.

Went to the second one just for the hell of it. Terrible.

Didn’t even bother with the third.

Why make more? No one asked for a trilogy 10 years after the first. Everyone forgot about it except James.

I honestly wonder if he completely lost his mind in the 2010’s and executives were just politely nodding because his movies can make over a billion.

The Netflix series was great. No need for a movie. A long complicated story can’t be told in two hours.

I get he probably got paid lower than the other actors, but 250k in 2003 is like 450k today. More than a large majority of the workforce makes in a decade.

He is talking like he was in poverty. Probably was just living beyond his means.

“And i own it forever”

We are not talking about the PS2 or even PS3 here though. These new games do not fit on a disk and require constant updates and connection to servers. Any game that requires you to connect to the internet, even if you own the disc, you don’t really own. They can shut that down anytime they feel like it.

This is what it is like when I watch Christopher Nolan movies since Tenet. I know some people really like how he tries to be deep now, but I miss when he made the Batman movies and Inception. They weren’t winning Oscars, but they were fun.

I also was surprised by that. When did they film this?

See, how is anyone supposed to want to go to a sports game or concert anymore? It wasn’t bad enough that the prices are so inflated, now they stalk you like big brother the second you approach the entrance to the building.

The most over used story line of course.

I’m thinking flip phone and taking an old Microsoft surface and putting Linux on it. I don’t see any other way to be open source where Google can’t fuck around with you.

I would do GrapheneOS, but I figure Google will find a way to block it or wreck it

Oh no… anyway

Jellyfin is a different approach. My family loves to rewatch stuff and doesn’t necessarily need the newest content. So once something they like is on there, they are very content to have streaming like access to it whenever they like.

This does require setup, investing in storage and upkeep from you, so not for everyone. Well worth it if you have a family with watching habits like mine though.

I am very lucky to have a family that was patient while I figured all this out and tried different things over the years. Stremio sounds good on paper, but there was always some compromise with the quality or the ease. Especially if it was older content that is not necessarily mainstream.

Not saying this is the best answer for you, cause it could not to be. Just that I was looking for the same solution for my family and it took me to Jellyfin which they use all day every day now. They love it more than I could have imagined they would have and they never bother me to get a streaming service.

I tired all of this. All I’ll say is the solution ended up being Jellyfin. Expecting people to set up VPNs and understand links is not going to work with a family

It’s a kids movie. Of course they won’t admit that.

Not to put down Stremio, but it does end up being a lot of work sometimes when you could just pick from one of the dozens of websites and stream it from your laptop.

I know this is not a very slick setup, but then you only have to worry about the VPN.

What’s funny is thinking about all the people that used to try to say that climate change won’t happen for hundreds of years.

Shows you how much those people knew.

I hope it’s not like Tenet. I like his movies, but that one was very rough. Even Robert Pattinson had no idea what was going on.

Reminds me of Christopher Knight. He straight up lived in the woods. No job nothing for decades. Only got caught because he needed to steal rations from local cabins.

Convienent that his dad had just died then and he was burned out from playing into June every year.

What about just a flip phone. Then they can take the battery out when they don’t need it.
