Big budget animated sequels like this always take a long time. Apparently it’s been in development like a month after the first one came out. I do think it’s a bit ridiculous to be in development this long for a movie that did well and is adapted from a series of books, before even starting actual production.

Mars Express is great. Definitely a good recommendation.

A lot of these were very close to being in my personal top 4 of the past few years.

I liked Vox Machina a lot, and every season has been better than the last. Personally, I think Pantheon edges it out for me.

I think there’s a lot of similarity between Scavenger’s Reign and Common Side Effects. Many of the same people worked on it. Pantheon is also a great slow burn scifi.

Mighty Nein is quite different. It’s fantasy, and leans into overt comedy a lot more than the other 3. But still very good.

No. It is apparently entirely hand drawn and has been worked on for years. I first heard about this film almost a decade ago.

Now that’s a movie that would be released on whole different platform.

Common Side Effects was great. I’m so glad it was renewed. I think there’s still a lot of interesting things to explore with the story and characters.

That’s very sweet. Gravity Falls is a great show.

I watched KPop Demon Hunters this past weekend and it’s honestly a lot better than I was expecting. Some of the humour was a bit too “aggressive” for me but the story was pretty solid, fun characters and great animation.

Mob Psycho s2 is great!

Finally watched Predator: Killer of Killers . Genuinely a really fun movie. I was a little worried about it being an anthology going in. It’s not usually something I like with movies but it was executed really well and ended up being very enjoyable.

To be fair, Wish was quite bad and was largely panned by critics and the audience after release. Elio so far seems to have gotten a better response by both.

Great choice. I feel like each season has also gotten better than the last.
