Then you can generate a password so big and complex, the site or app starts begging you to stop. At that moment, you can say “ur password system is weak.”

Big corporations know very well how competition works and would like to avoid it at all costs.
Management doesn’t ask people they want to fire is firing them is a good idea. They themselves would lie like crazy to keep their job and assume therefore everything the developers say would be a lie too.
So some places started forcing developers to use AI with a quota and monitor the usage. Of course the devs don’t go checking each AI generated line for correctness. That’s bad for the quota. It’s guaranteed to add more slop to the codebase.
Ha. Intellectual Soylent.
When scientists warned that milk could be contaminated with bird flu and pasteurized milk was safe, they started drinking raw milk en masse. There is no logic for them.
Like Musk don’t liking that grok is stating facts going against Musk’s own beliefs and now he’s looking into retraining and reprogramming grok to spout the right ideologies. Having an AI will not save us.
Every type of AI that was ever made had people saying that this is the one that’ll bring is general intelligence. It’s just a matter of scaling it up further, the hype crashed and there was an AI winter. Now LLM have their own problems scaling up and nothing really indicating it’s anywhere near general intelligence. There isn’t much more data to train them on. And so far, not enough people willing to pay for it. Definitely bubble territory.
So they can’t keep selling their soul and dignity without consequences.
Sales guy didn’t say working, safe, secure, maintainable or at least of average quality code; just that it’s faster. The thing to watch with sales peeps is all the things they don’t say.
These corporate messages always remind me of that Lego Movie song: 🎶 Everything is Awesome 🎵
Every time there’s a thunderstorm, a town or city floods. Infrastructure is not built for the kinds of rain we’re seeing now and it used to be so rare it wasn’t an issue. Now everyone is scrambling to build water handling systems.
My only real counter to this is who created the dataset and did the people that were creating the app have any power to affect that?
A lot of AI research in general was first done by largely Caucasian students, so the datasets they used skewed that way, and other projects very often started from those initial datasets. The historical reason there are more students of that skin tone is because they have in general the most money to finance the schooling, and that’s because past racism held African-American families back from accumulating wealth and accessing education, and that still affects their finances and chances today, assuming there is no racism still going on in scholarships and accepting students these days.
Not saying this is specifically happening for this project, just a lot of AI projects in general. It causes issues with facial recognition in lots of apps for example.

Exactly. We should all get a corporate translator.
If we’re all going to die anyway and it gets worse and worse worth every year, we can just as well burn the place down and go down in one glorious moment. Here’s to not having any hope left.
And everybody trying to get AI to fix the issue
Lots of stuff in the news how things could go wrong and it could be the end of civilization. Because of all the scaremongering however there was enough money to go around to fix all critical systems.
In the end only minor things happened, like a library charging people 100 years of interest on their late fees. It could’ve been a lot worse. Banks charging 100 years of interest were avoided, no infrastructure went down. But the checks and fixes done were needed. Some computers in production systems would just brick themselves when the date was set to 2000.
Then after new year came the comments of people complaining that all the money was spent and nothing happened.
Except Starship Troopers, that movie is taken at face value. Would you like to know more?
