  • I recently read a decent article (in Danish mind you), focused on the positions some volunteers had from getting more fans to their local football club… Because they now posted stuff on Facebook.

Then followed up by an expert on engagement, and statistics on about half the population felt AI image generations to be off putting - And a fair chunk of the remainder not really caring, and a small minority finding it cool/useful.

That experts main position, was the human touch was lost and the volunteer of the local football club would most likely get more people to stadium if they asked a bunch of 2nd graders to draw match day posts.

Because it would genuinely connect to people. So yeah, a lot of smaller businesses and volunteers are currently having a feeling all of this AI gen is giving them more traffic and attention, but in reality they’re getting more attention because they went from doing nothing to doing something

  • Agriculture may use AI to inform how they do things, and eventually, machines could then take that knowledge and run the farm for you.

Given how straight tractors drive, the way you can programme the topend to self plant/harvest a field. The driving itself isn’t AI, but there’s a ton of image recognition software popping up that can limit the amount of pesticides used. As they’re able to recognise the exact areas in need of them.

Then we have drones able to capture soil efficiency and there’s probably a ton of other cases. AI is definitely altering farming and in theory could also reduce the needed amount of manpower - As more and more specialised machinery, can be used more or less autonomously. There’s legitimately farms in the Netherlands marked as airports, so they’re allowed to fly drones of a certain size. And all the imagery processing is also depending on a kind of AI

They’re organised because they’ll lose to the other Ultras in their “football related activities”. That’s why they’re organised.

Pretty common to have some degree of ties to whichever groups distributes drugs and well… One or several martial arts clubs, as they practice unsanctioned fights for fun

Because sports fans are psychos is the very short answer. The former president didn’t feel the need to suppress Ultra organisations, as he saw them as weekend warriors fighting one another.

It’s quite common world wide that football ultras are among the best organised groups in their local arena. Same shit happened in Brazil, for the protests that ended up getting Jair elected - Despite the majority of demonstrators on the street being fairly left wing. The Ultras were organised cells, that managed to capture the movement and give Jair the much needed push to be a true contender
