To be fair, Automatic Emergency Braking sounds like it has enormous potential for things to go wrong but I say that out of concern for safety, not expense.

Obviously I’m teleporting to Albania.
That’s just delusional.
I’m not defending Gates, I’m saying he allegedly had other motivations. Definitely could have been a 2 birds with 1 stone for him.
I’d say coerced wage slavery.
Settle down, Beavis
Saying the public has ownership implies that they have some control of it which certainly isn’t true. It’s more like a Palace economy than anything.
Fun fact, Britain had to create taxes in it’s East African colonies not to raise income but because British economic interests struggled to recruit workers from people who had everything they needed without the British. Forcing them to pay taxes in currency forced them to accept employment to acquire that currency.
Once down the dark path you begin, forever with it dominate your destiny.
Calling a country where the means of production are controlled by the upper classes “socialist” is a stretch even before we consider their mixed economy and rampant capitalism.
Someone’s got their head buried in the sand. The number of critical problems that are gonna come to a head in the next 20 years that could collectively degrade the biosphere beyond supporting a substantial human population is nuts. It’s not fatalist to say that billions could die and it’s no consolation to the dead and their loved ones that “humans are exceptionally durable”.
Income from India is the main driver of 18 century British naval dominance but even if we exclude India and the sugar growing Caribbean islands, there was tons of British colonial possessions that didn’t directly contribute to the treasury enough to cover expenditures but still benefited the Empire economically and enriched upperclass brits individually. There are maybe a handful of remote islands that could be considered charitable to add to the British Empire; exploitation was the name of the game everywhere else.
Beating the rich and redistributing their wealth gives you capitalist vibes?
Some people on the Left regretfully tried to redefine Private Property and split off some private property into “personal property” but since that’s not how the language works it’s caused endless miscommunication. By private property is theft he means Private Mean’s of Production with the caveat that people essentially own their owns but homes can’t be bought/sold/inherited.
Warren Buffet is an interesting case. He’s straight up said that their IS a class war going on and billionaires are winning. He also expressed some amazement that society would award his skill set with so much money. That being said he is a capitalist thru and thru and has faith in a failed economic system because it turned out well for him.
He desperately wants a Nobel Prize
I’ve read that rather than little kids, Gates was interested in Epsteins influence with other members of the elite because Bill has an obsession with getting a Nobel Prize. Doesn’t absolve his character but I haven’t heard any rape allegations from victims yet.

What? Why?

Look at the List of Wars over the past century and a half. The US is the most frequent followed by the British and Russians. These 3 countries account for most of the problem.
Valid meme but hopefully it doesn’t minimize the plight of Uyghurs in peoples minds.
